What living and breathing soul in the 305 hasn’t smelled a hot, glazed donut and seen the ‘Hot Now’ light flashing in front of their face, only to wake up and realize there’s no way you’re going to make it to Krispy Kreme in North Miami Beach, since it’s 20 miles away, you can’t find the keys to the Beemer, your white H&M blouse is stained and your hubby forget his Igloo cooler?
Well dream no more, Pepe y Mercedes because at 6 a.m., Tuesday, September 23, the ‘Hot Now’ light will be officially ON to welcome the opening of the new Krispy Kreme in Hialeah (1597 W 49th St.). And guess what? Krispy Kreme will be open 24/7 after that. Dios mio me muero!Friendly advice: Hide this box before your girlfriend gets home.
And Krispy Kreme is celebrating the occasion with what else: a chance to win free donuts for a year. The first 100 customers will receive the free donuts for a year (think: eating a dozen glazed donuts once a week for an entire year.). The next 99 people in line will receive a one free dozen donuts per month, and the first 150 people will receive a free T-shirt.
It promises to be such a sweet mess – donuts included – that organizers are encouraging the public to start lining up real early at the donut shop, like Monday night, in order to have a crack at the free donuts and T-shirts.
And bring your pots and pans, while you’re at it. Why not? What better way to pass the time, before rushing through the front door to get your hands on as many chocolate, custard-filled donuts as possible?
But if you’re sweet tooth is enough that you not only can see yourself swimming in donuts, but convincing each customer that comes through the door that glazed donuts are better than sex, now is your shot to make a career out of it because Krispy Kreme is hosting a job fair today until 6 p.m. at the Ramada Inn in Hialeah (1950 W. 49TH St.).
But caution before you start dreaming about getting your hands all over those mouth-watering chocolate chip donuts and cashing a paycheck: you must be 18, be able to work weekends, pass a pre-employment background check and have prior experience in the hospitality indust
