Hispanic Heritage Month

In summer of 2012, Marc Anthony, his right leg continuously shaking without leaving the ground and his eyes hidden behind his customary dark shades, sat in a director’s chair during a visit to Miami in support of “GIGANT3S”, a tour alongside pop star Chayanne and Mexican singer Marco Antonio Solis.
At first glance, Anthony, who acted more like a child getting ready for his first day of school than a crossover success with 13 million records sold in Spanish and English, while half-heartedly answering questions, comes across as an unbalanced man, with no plan, no vision, if not a mid-life adult battling a heavy dose of immaturity. But Marc Anthony, who turned 46 earlier this week, is also a Latin Billboard Hall of Famer with an act to die for, from his rangy voice to his dramatic interpretations on stage, and ability to control a crowd’s emotional state, no matter the song.
Since going solo in 1993, after doing the club scene in New York and Los Angeles and singing backup for Menudo, Anthony fueled a Latin pop craze with the crossover appeal of “I Need to Know”, a hit off his 1999 self-titled, English debut.
Routinely lauded as the top salsa singer of this generation, Anthony, slated to perform October 3-4 at the AmericanAirlines Arena, completed a second Latin American tour earlier this summer in support of 3.0, his most recent album.
He is in the middle of another U.S. tour.

“Vivir Mi Vida”, an adoption of French/Arabic hit “C’est La Vie”, spent 18 weeks at No.1 on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart, after its debut at the 2013 Billboard Latin Music Awards, becoming the longest running single in the history of the chart.
His countless hits are infectious and emotive, much like the man that has moved an entire generation with his music.http://voxxi.com/2012/05/28/marc-anthony-pitbull-bilingual-artists-bi-cultural-success/
